Description of lesson.
Students will choose a topic of interest in Spanish or latinoamerican history. This can be an event or a person. They will then have to construct a timeline complete with pictures and present their project to the class.
Assignment:
First, choose a topic that interests you from Spanish or latinoamerican culture. Research its history and come up with a unique way to present it to the class. I suggest a timeline or poster, but you are free to choose one of your liking as long as I approve it beforehand. Pictures must be included in your final project.
The technology used in this lesson changes the teaching / learning in this way: Tumblr gives an easy way to explain to the students what I am looking for in a research assignment. It also introduces them to another form of media through which they could potentially present their assignment. Shelfari gives them a fast way to access information and recommendations from the teacher.
